Therapy
I am a licensed clinical psychologist (CA PSY# 21360) in the Orange County area. I provide services to adolescents, families, couples and adults. I work from an integrative-holistic and strength-based perspective in therapy. My therapeutic approach is a combination of cognitive-behavioral and solution-focused therapies, combined with an incorporation of spirituality and religion in therapy when appropriate. While many therapists and “traditional” psychotherapy tend to focus on pathology and deficits, I focus on working with an individual's existing strengths to help them move beyond any particular challenges they may have. I strongly believe people have all the resources they need to solve their own challenges but, at times, lack the skills in accessing those personal resources. I assist people in learning how to access their own internal resources to deal with life concerns and interpersonal challenges.
Additionally, I have a special interest and expertise in working with culturally diverse individuals and communities. I incorporate culture in all the work that I do and believe that everyone has a culture unique and specific to their individual, familial and relationship lives. I work with individuals from all cultural backgrounds in therapy and welcome the opportunity to learn and grow both personally and professionally. I have a particular expertise in working with Latina/o individuals and families. I offer therapy services in both English and Spanish.
Therapy is an important endeavor and I encourage you to find a provider to meet your specific needs. I would be happy to assist you in finding a provider should this be your primary need or concern. Please feel free to contact me regardless of whether you anticipate working with me personally. I am happy to assist you in any way I can in finding the right place and provider for you.

In general, therapy sessions are 45 minutes in length for individual services and 75 minutes in length for couples and families. Typically therapy sessions occur one time per week or once every other week depending on individual and family needs and resources. I do not provide services through any insurance panels and provide fee-for-service therapy only. Upon request, I provide clients with a “Super Bill” for reimbursement purposes through insurance carriers.
